The Embassy is pleased to inform that next Monday, August 31, at 5:00
p.m. in the Netherlands (12 hours in Argentina), will take place the
International launch of the initiative "Football Technology Institute
AFA FTI", organised by the Argentine Football Association and the
company World Eleven in collaboration with the Argentine government.
The event, will be held at the premises of the Argentine Football
Association in the town of Ezeiza. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and
Worship and the Secretary of International Economic Relations of the
Argentine Republic are invited and the launch will be attended by
personalities from the local media and the national and international
press.
The Argentine Football Association has decided to create AFA-FTI to
transfer to the entire world the knowledge gathered over 40 years in
which the youth national teams reached great achievements, from the hand
of international stars such as Diego Maradona, Sergio Agüero, Juan Román
Riquelme, Pablo Aimar and Lionel Messi, among many others. The way to
transfer this experience is through the creation of Football Technology
Institutes, which ensure, thanks to a Digital Platform created by
Argentine developers and endorsed by Microsoft at a global level, the
link between the football academy and technology.
The firm World Eleven Inc. has been chosen by the AFA to carry out this
project, having been in charge of designing all the associated
technological development. World Eleven, a company that organises
international friendlies for the Argentine national team since 2009, has
signed a 10-year exclusive agreement with the Argentine Football
Association for the exploitation of the "AFA-FTI".
