The Embassy of the Argentine Republic to the Kingdom of The Netherlands is pleased to inform about the: "National and International Public Tender for the Concession of Public Works for the Construction, Conservation and Exploitation of the Port Terminal of Puerto Nuevo – Buenos Aires".
From May 27, 2019 to September 4, 2019, the tendering conditions may be downloaded through the website www.puertobuenosaires.gob.ar, or obtained from the Office of Procurement and Contracting, located at Avenida Ingeniero Huergo 431, P.B. (1st floor), City of Buenos Aires, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Tel. 54-11-4343-7333).
The place and date of Submission and Opening of Bids is going to be in the Sub-Gerencia de Compras y Contrataciones, located at Av. Ing. Huergo 431 - P.B. (1st floor), City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Bids will be received from 24 hours before the opening date to the opening time scheduled. The opening is on October 2nd, 2019 at 11 a.m.
The National and International Public Tender for the Modernization Plan of the Buenos Aires Port intend to renew the port adapting its infrastructure to the growth of the size of ships and the characteristics of container traffic, following a flexible design that can adapt to the needs of the next fifty years in a more competitive fashion, by integrating into the world and maintaining a healthy relationship with the community, while observing environmental and quality standards.
Our Modernization Plan follows the guidelines of the Strategic Sustainability Plan and the Security Plan of the Buenos Aires Port. We believe that modernization must be both sustainable and safe. Progress will be made during the next ten years on building an external terminal, in line with the world's main ports. The goal is to build the best possible port in the shortest possible time, without affecting operations, while increasing container flow.
